Finale

This project was a lot of fun. From filming to editing and revision. Watching the progression that the film has made is very rewarding. Showing everyone and saying "wanna look at our music video" then watching their reaction brightens up our day. Not only did we face a lot of adversity but we got it done and most importantly we did not give up. When time was running out and it felt like we would make it we hustled. When our original plan failed and it was looking like nothing was going our way we hustled. Communication is key and when doing this project I really learned and understood that. Without the communication we had none of this would've been able to be done. It was a great experience and we learned a lot and used what we learned in the past to better our film. Moving forward we grew stronger as a team and worked well together from the start, this is only the beginning of a long roller coaster.

Polishing up

Editing went smoother than we expected. Taking in the lessons from the trial and error when editing the commercial we knew the ups and downs. It was easier because we already had a software we were comfortable with working on. When putting everything together, patience is a virtue. Everything looked a mess and it gave me a headache. I just wanted to throw it away. There was a lot of clips that needed to be cut and edited it was a bit overwhelming. We left the film alone and came back to it later on in the day with a clear mindset of getting it done. We worked in 30 second pieces which made it easier to form everything. we made a mistake thinking it was going to be Like the commercial which is why we tried to deal with it head on. Aligning the clips with this song was the hardest part, besides scenery the actors had to match with the theme of song. There were a lot of re-tires and switching things up. In order to get the best out of the film we wanted to look at it with the different

Facing issues

When filming it took a little longer that we anticipated. We had to do a lot of retakes to get the right shot and angle.we did a lot of negotiating and talking. The actors that we had planned, unfortunately could not be able to film in time with us. So we had to get last minute actors, they really came to the rescue. After we found our address, we did a lot of talking then walking, which I counted as a exercise. The film was very last minute, and it was kind of rushed. One of our actors wanted to quit mid way of the filming. The actor felt disrespected. We filmed on the bus, and there were a lot of people also on the bus, it was loud, hot and very bumpy. We pushed through and kept hustling. There was a limited amount of space and time but we got it done. At the time we just wanted to get as much film as possible. Throughout the filming we had to make sure everything made sense, recorded correctly in the end added up to the right amount of film. We could have plan better, communicated

Drawbacks

Although it was enjoyable to work with my crew members, I will be working alone on the next project. I have nothing against my colleagues, however working with others requires me to adhere to everyone's work ethic. I prefer to do my tasks as quickly as possible. When I was working with others, it felt like a lot of tasks were pushed aside and left till the last minute. It was worrisome for me because I'm not a last-minute worker. I didn't want to bother the rest of my partners by bringing it up again. So, in order to escape all of that, I'll just work alone. There were benefits and drawbacks to working with others. Because not everyone was available at the same time, scheduling was a good illustration. Getting everything done efficiently and effectively. There was a small lack in communication when pertaining to the work. There was a lot of procrastination and it's hurting us, when doing the project. We need time to get the right film and edit and if we wait any l

Experiencing difficulties

During the break we were unable to record. That was our chance to get ahead of the game and return back to school with nothing to do. However, we didn't take that path and we wanted to just relax and sleep in. We wanted to rest well and leave all the stress of school behind, so that we could jump back into it with a clear mindset coming from the break. It took a while for us to get everything together, avoiding discomfort when we meet. It was hard in the beginning getting everything together, learning each other schedules and more. Getting the right actors and finding the right place to record. I'm more of a get it done and out the way person but the situation presented itself as "wait". It's understandable we're on break so we should take a break. Working with others reminded me about patience. There is mutual respect and it's fun seeing all the different point of views and ideas that we have. We joke around from time to time but that made the whole proce
