AICE media studies

 

  When I showed my film to my homie, he suggested that I add more sound effects and diegetic sound to it. They also stated it seemed like a move I'd never seen before, which I took as a compliment because it meant I might know what I'm doing. This gave me a boost and inspired me to add a little something extra to my film. I showed it to another buddy, who also remarked on how good I sounded. This tells me that my sound is the most important aspect of my film if I want it to be decent or fantastic. So far, I'm pleased with the outcome of my film, and I honestly thought I wasn’t going to get it done. 

Today i put my finishing touches on editing my film. I checked to make sure all the clips were correct. I also checked to make sure my sound aligned with my film. I am completely done with my film.

 Today didn’t go as planned. I was supposed to be editing today but my family decided we should go to the beach for spring break. We went Fort Lauderdale beach and ate lots of food. I had a lot of fun and i’m glad i bonded with my family. I will not let this hold me back and will make sure i stay on track with my film. I will continue editing as soon as possible.

 Today I'm doing some in-depth editing, which is taking a little longer than usual due to the length of the film. I'm pleased with how things are going so far, but I'm glad i picked the drama genre. I believe i will leave my audience with suspense. Me and my actor watched the movie Coach Carter, that could be beneficial to us. The movie as a whole was fantastic. The music was perfect, and there were voiceovers, as well as diegetic and non-diegetic sounds. My favorite thing I took away from the movie was that it had a purpose.

  Today i begin editing the film i got on the 17th. I started if cutting clips down the were too long. Then i started to put them in the correct order. I’m grateful for the storyboard because i can just look back on it if i don’t remember the correct placements. I found areas where i need to re-film. I edited all the film i had using capcut and added the correct music over it. I'm not finished yet, but I'll get there. It's interesting to see what I was able to catch, and while I was reworking the video, I was able to capture some unnecessary moments, some unintentional moments, and some vital moments.

  Today is my second day of filming. I filmed clips that we needed to be in the house for. I started with easy clips like my actor washing dishes. My location is my house and it be chaotic sometimes so we had to make it work as fast as we could. I filmed him getting offers and filmed him doing household chores. We essentially got all the film we needed. Now i will check while editing to see if i need to reshoot anything.

I started filming today. I got some good clips. My actor was playing basketball in most of them and in other he was just working out. We got clips of him making shots and clips of him missing. I got a clip of him crossing his sister. I also got a flashback clip of him in his younger self. It was was getting dark outside so we did as much we could. I did about the first page of my storyboard in filming. It was getting cold so we called it a night. However i have much more to record and will be getting back at it as soon as possible.

  Today, I'll be contacting the settings of all possible locations  in my film, including back-ups. I get the best personal answer this way, and if they are unavailable, I can take care of business right away using other forms of communication such as email and SMS.

  Since I was overwhelmed today, I was unable to begin. With all of the blogs due, as well as other tasks from other classes, sports, and as each deadline approaches, it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep up. I couldn't finish it when the truth of it hit me. It was simply too much to bear the tension and anxiety. Everything had to come to a halt, calm down, and be reassessed. Instead, I calmed down and listened to some music while going over the schedule again and making some tweaks. I'm using this time to take a mental breather and re-energize before I truly immerse myself in this film.

 I decided to use a fellow friend’s music as my sound. The music i want on my film has to fit a certain mood and vibe & this song does exactly that. The film's music is what draws in the audience and keeps them interested. By establishing at least that base, I can ensure that my audience will watch the film. While watching the film, I want to create a determined and ambitious atmosphere. This is my favorite phase of the production since it allows me to listen to music and develop a personal connection with my film.

   1. In scene 1 the actor begins to shoot the basketball in the hoop.  2.  In scene 2 the same actor will be catching a football. 3.  In scene 3 the girl and the guy would still be playing basketball but the angle will just be different as it will be low angle.  4.  In scene 4 there will be a scene of the actor struggling as there older self.  5.  In scene 5 they begin getting frustrated and hitting the wall.  6.  In scene 6 the actor calms down and remembers what motivates him. 

 Labels, occasionally editing labels, and symbols denoting who they worked with and who they represent are used in music videos as convention and codes.   The camera in a music video is always positioned to show the singer/rapper. If the video has labels, extra editing/production work, or logos, they are usually displayed in a corner at the beginning or conclusion of the film.  Music videos frequently feature ethos in order to reach out to viewers and emotionally connect with them. Actors can have an impact on the quality of the music video because they can add or subtract from it. Even camera angles and the quality of the recorder have an impact on the overall result.
